i have an eastern tiger salamander and shes growing fast, she grew from 5 to 6 inches since ive first got her in on thanksgiving last year and i was wondering is there anything i can do to make sure shes growing right without any problems. i just started last month feeding her night crawlers and giving her calcium dust, is there anything else i should know?

I think the dust is unnecessary. Nightcrawlers are already pretty nutritional. But there's no harm in it.

Develop a woodlice culture. Super easy to do but takes 6-12 months to get established in my experience. I would create 2-3 shoebox size cultures so in 6 months you have a ready supply.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
