Hi i was wondering if my axie would be fine in a 30cmx25x25 tank for three weeks until i can get him a much bigger tank??

i think he will as long as you do regular water changes and make sure the temparature is ok which i dont think will be problem because of winter.

how often should i do water changes and what percentage of water? Im aslo filterless

if your filter-less, then you will have no tank cycle. meaning you will have to be super vigilant about cleaning poop and waste, and at least once a week your going to need to change the water.

i recommend getting a filter!!!

think ill be alright with a week without a filter?

yeah! the axi doesnt NEED filtration but you have to keep your water CLEAN!! a filter is just a super easy to do it.

oh i forgot to add: with out a filter do 100% water changes, with a filter only 20ish

would cleaning the water once a day and 100% water replacement at the end of the week till i get a filter be ok?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
