Hi, my stickleback fish laid loads of eggs and they`ve now all hatched and thriving but because i have so many young! do you thin it would be a good food source for my axolotls ive fed the odd one to them every blue moon but now that i have loads of babys do you think it would be good as a treat for them and the main diet is earthworms, sinking pellets and bloodworm, my stickleback fish are free from disease and are all very very healthy, what do you guys think any way?

I'm assuming the stickleback fry's spines (stickles?) are too small to pose any threat to a soft axolotl mouth?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
