Hi everybody,

I'm Corentin from Belgium.

I'm 22 and I'm here to find ideas and information to create a new terrarium.

Actually, my first passion is aquarium (i got 4 aquarium) but recently i found interest for terrarium / aquaterrarium.

4 months ago I made my first aquaterrarium with a small tank (wich was an aquarium before) and put in 4 Bombina Orientalis. They seem happy and are really funy (I think I got a couple but the female don't seem to agree with the male at all :D...)

Now, my next project is to create a new aquaterrarium of 60x40x50 cm / 23' x 16' x 19'.

I hope I convert it right cause in belgium we use centimeter and liter as unit, not inch or gallon.

I'd like to put my bombina and ad 2 or 4 more, maybe 2 Kassina Maculatus, and 2 Rana Signata. But I aven't decided yet.

I found this forum by looking at picture on google and I found this one :

--> See the picture of "stablefly", a member of this forum.

I found it so beautiful that I wanted to have more informations.

So, I think it's enough for a first post :D

If you have any questions I'll answer it and I hope you will forgive my english which is not perfect (due to my mother language : french)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
