I'm new here. i got my fiance a baby axie a couple months ago and it is is so fun and interesting to watch. :D

Welcome!

I had a leuc axie myself until recently. They are wonderful creatures. Happy to say I still get photos and updates on how my lil one is doing :) nice to know she went to a loving home. Didn't want to put her through moving stress.

Love this forum, every question I've wanted an answer to has always already been asked so I don't post much.

What did your fiance name their axie? and what kind is it? :) post up some pics in the gallery when you can - am sure we'd all love to see the new arrival!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
