Sorry if this question is elsewhere.. I have a 4" (head to tail tip) Axie and we've had him for about 3 months. Someone in my area has one for sale, same size. I'm wondering if I could put them together? Would they hurt eachother or fight, or enjoy the company?

it can go either way - if well-fed and past the cannibalistic phase they should be OK but they could snap at each other. You'll need to quarantine the new one for a few weeks anyway, so hopefully if it doesn't work out you could then separate them till they are older. I have 8 and they've nipped at each other when mistaking another axie for food, but none have ever been injured

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
