hello

My name is Luca, I'm 33 years old, and I live in Italy.
I breed: Ambystoma mavortium, a.opacum, a.maculatum, salamander salamander neurergus kaiseri and many more in the future.
I can just send the picture ..
I breed also: Pandinus imperator, brachipelma bhoemei, poelociloteria regalis, and geckos Eublepharis macularius, and my favorite rachodactylus leachianus (henkeli and island), and Elaphe.
In my work I use behavior analysis with children and often serves me well in my ethological passion.
I hope to learn many things from the forum ...
ps sorry for my bad English!
soon
luca

Welcome to the forums! That is a very impressive list of specimens to successfully breed. Do you regularly breed them all or was it only a couple times you bred each species?

P.S. Where are you in Italy? My grandmother was from a farm near Rome. :)

thanks xuntos
I bred them all now (and many other salamanders coming soon), the salamanders are in the garage and reptiles and arachnids in the guest room.
In the past I bred even frogs and pythons and turtles.
I live in Rimini, a city on the sea!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
