Hi there!
I'm a novice tree frog owner and found this site thru the FrogForum.
I'm upgrading my juvenile White's TF from her cramped 12x12x12 ZooMed viv to an 18x18x24 ExoTerera and was wondering of a salamander/newt would be ok in the old 12x12x12 enclosure?
There seems to be a tremendous amount of variation (on this site) when it comes to enclosure design, and I must admit I'm a tad confused... By comparison, frog vivs seem to follow a more "uniform" formula... So any advice re: which animal might be the heartiest (for a beginner) as well as easiest to feed (I don't want to culture anything) and then what might be the best plants/mosses for a "self sustaining" vivarium?
Lastly, are any of these guys are active during the day that would be a bonus (I have kids)
Trying to decide if maybe I should stick w/ my WTF only - or - branch out to another amphibian (I'm not into reptiles for some reason) I'd love to use my little 12x12 zoomed b/c anything bigger might give my wife cause to murder me in my sleep
thanks!
