Hi guys!
Basically, I'm a new fan to this amazing creature, I'm interested in becoming an owner and have been recommended this site for information and such.

Anything that I should research or learn before having one, other than the basic information provided on google? Really, any information that you would feel to benefit a first time owner!

Anything that anyone thinks would help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks! :)

Re: Hey, I'm new here, from N.Ireland, interested in Axolotls for sale!

And if you are completely new to caring for aquatic animals, you'll want to read these articles on water quality, proper housing, etc.: Caudata Culture Axolotl Articles

There is alot of misinformation out on the internet...you've landed in the right place for accurate information. Welcome aboard.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
