Hi, everyone. I have been discussing with a friend recently about what animals are legal to own. He lives in New Jersey and I live in Washington, and it seems like a lot of things are illegal over there. I have been looking at ordering some Chinese Fire Bellies from Reptile City next week, but the discussion got me thinking about if this type of newt is legal to own in Washington. I have looked all over the internet and I can't seem to figure it out. Can anybody help?

Thank you!

If you might have looked a few threads down, there was a recent discussion about Washington's laws here: http://www.caudata.org/forum/f1173-advanced-newt-salamander-topics/f1175-herpetological-science-politics/f1176-laws-legality-ethics/61708-what-legal-keep-washington-state.html

Wow, my apologies for the redundancy. I ended up finding a sheet at a pet store that mentioned it. Cynops orientalis is legal to own in Washington.
