I am Shelly. I live in Maryland. I got an adult melanoid axolotl about a month and half ago after wanting one for years. I named it Randall (after one of the monsters in Monsters Inc.) and refer to it as "he/him" but I believe it is actually a female. I would like to get at least one more axolotl and perhaps one day have some axolotl babies. I have two dogs and a bunch of fish, but I had forgotten how cool amphibians are until I got Randall. He brings me back to some of my childhood years in North Carolina when catching wild salamanders and and newts was one of my favorite, slightly tomboyish hobbies
