I got a golden albino 2 weeks ago, and it was around 4". Today, I noticed it's toes were black! They definitely weren't like that yesterday. It's also 5" now.

I'm having trouble remembering how big my pair were when they became sexually mature. Is this a normal size?

5 inches is a little early but in what I have seen 7-9 inches is usually sexually mature and at that length they are easily sexed as the cloacal reigon is "usually" very distinguishable at this point. But each lotl varies you could have a very well fed 4 month old @ five inches or a underfed 8 month old it just depends. My best advice is get some high res pics of your goldens underside and cloacal region and post em up this forum is bound to have somebody with an answer:D

Yeah, I thought it was on the small side! I think my pair were at least a month older than him before their toes changed.

I'll work on some pictures, but at the moment it's looking like a girl, but from my expereince, males don't show that they are males right away... my male's cloaca stayed small until about a month after his toes got light. It went from small to really big and swollen haha.

So it's happened a little earlier than usual, yeah?
