Hello all! I have a 3.5 gallon tank that has nothing in it and would like something to go in it :D I know very few species of animal would be comfortable in this space so if you know of any let me know! the only thing is that I don't want a pet that is hard to take care of so more of a beginner pet as I dont feel I could properly take care of such an animal. I am not looking for anything in particular newt, salamander, frog, toad, terrestrial, aquatic. thanks! :)

actually now that i think about it this might not have been the right place to post this sorry :(

Au contraire! (or however you spell it :p) A tank that size is perfect for shrimp (red cherry, glass and ghost) or guppies, both of which are excellent to then drop in with your axie as a snack :)
Post pics when you've set it up?

unfortunately i dont have an axie  but i am thinking of maybe a african dwarf frog :D

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
