Today I noticed our Axolotl was trying to regurgitate, sometimes something came out sometimes nothing, here is a video of what is happening: Sick axolotl 1 - YouTube
This is a video of the jelly thing, its huge! there was also lots of brownish stuff floating around in the tank which can be seen in this video: Sick axolotl 2 - YouTube

The last thing she ate was a Axolotl pellet and her diet is a mix of mainly worms and occassionally meat and pellets.

Please help! She is very very loved and well cared for and when we got her she was almost dead and means alot to me and my family!

The blob-thing is a partially digested worm that was regurgitated.

How do you clean under the pebbles? Mulm will collect under them quickly and needs to be removed.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
