What do you do breed or buy your earthworms for your axies? I have 3 small guys right now and they eat roughly 2 worms a day. I have been reading about breeding earthworms so I have them easier at my disposal. Just wondering what most people do. Is it relatively easy to breed earthworms? I am also going to begin breeding guppies not sure what kind yet but want to have a second food source other then the earthworms they eat every day.

If you can start your own worm farm you'll really benefit. YOu can use the worm juice on your garden, recycle your food scraps, feed your axies and everyones happy :)

I breed earthworms in a 44 gal drum, I put 600 odd earthiness in there and add lettuce/other peelings when the veggies in there are gone.

You will save lots by breeding and you can fertilise your garden

B.T.W 600 earthies, here in zim cost me $10! dunno about where you are

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
