Hello everyone, thought i would introduce myself. To make this short and sweet I will just say I have fell in love with Axies! I have spent the last two weeks absorbing any and all information I have been able to get my hands on regarding axolotls. I have purchased and set up everything I should need for my new family members. Now I am anxiously waiting to umm.. find my new little buddies:rolleyes:. Suzanne.

I almost forgot to add thank you to everyone for the awesome information that is always being posted, it has taught me so much!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
