Looking for suggestions.

My four little Tylototriton shanjing are little fatties. However, I haven't seen them feeding. They are eating as food is always gone from the tank or bowl.
Any tips on getting them to tweezer feed or time of feeding I feed them in the evening around six.

I have been feeding them chopped earthworms, white worm, blood worm, pin head crickets.

Was looking at meal worm or wax worm but they seem to small for that prey size. Any suggestions on prey to ensure healthy growth.

Any tips.
Thanks
Sean

Hi,

Have you tried small wood lice, I don't keep T Shanjing, however my terrestrial salamanders love them.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
