Hey everyone, so I was cycling my tank with Zoro in it.(I know not good) And recently he got really agitated so I took him out and have him in the fridge. The biggest reason was he started getting pale and I wanted to make sure he was doing okay. Is his coloring normal, because behind his arms it is sort of white. I have a few pics if anyone could let me know.

Paleness is fairly common with fridging as the animal is usually at rest, and the blood isn't flowing as much. If you agitate him, or feed him, and his color perks back up, then you can assume the paleness is normal.

So this morning I did his daily 100% water change and he has some redness to him. Is that normal with him being fridged and the water changes?

That redness looks like internal organs, young axys are pretty transparent. Lovely looking colour is it gfp?

It's completely normal!

And you have a nice GFP axolotl!

Thanks guys, it helps to get this info so I know how to handle all these situations. And yeah he is a GFP, it was a nice turn of events as when I got him I thought he was just a regular wild type with a nice green to him. :D

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
