Hey. Just wanted to post that Petco is running their $1/gallon sale again, and it should be running until the 19th. Works on tanks up to 55 gallons, so now is a great time to stock up.

If you've been waiting for a good deal on a bigger tank, now is the time! I've used this sale to get a couple of 40-breeder size tanks in past years.

Definitely stock up, folks!

My closest PetCo is 250 miles away... I don't think I'll be getting any.

It's soooo tempting! Plus, my husband is out of town. He probably won't notice a few extra 29 gallons in the basement, right?

Just take the stickers off and pretend like you've always had it. "What, that ol' tank? That's been there for years!"

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
