Hi I'm wondering if there is any correlation between yank conditions, diet, size and she against stool consistency.

This is partially because I'm curious and partially because my Astrid, even though she eats very well, has very liquid stools.

Also does anyone think solid/liquid stools are better/worse?

Diet most certainly is a factor and affects the consistency of poo.

Pellets tend to leave a very dusty poo which will not as be easy to clean up as poo from a worm diet only. A diet of worms will leave a more solid waste that's easy to remove.

The temperature of the tank may affect the consistency of the poo as a warmer system may run at higher metabolism which could cause the gut to over process any food causing it to liquefy.

Also the amount of time between pooping & you noticing may affect how it looks by the time you come to clean it up. Mine poop while I'm asleep & by morning I have to wonder if they've had races through it o_O or been puddle jumping in the poops  lol

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
