Question: Need help with my newts

Hey my name is danielle and need ur help asap plzzz.
i have had my 2 Fire Bellied Newts for 2 years now and things are starting to go crazy. my one lil guy never stays in the water and tends to dry out i put him back in but when i go back hes back out of the water. also i find that the 2 are fighting more then ever and it looks like the lil one lost part of his tail its now gone wight. also he dost'n want to eat much and is losing a lot of weight... can u plz help me i don't know what to do its my 1st time having newts.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
