I've recently added plants to my 6 months old tank (with axolotl already in it) and with it the shopkeeper gave me a plant fertilizer(JBL ferropol). I've recently red that medications containig metals should be avoided when keeping axolotls does this also apply to this fertilizer ?

The fertilizer contains :
EDTA:0.003% B:0.0002% Co:0.009% Cu:0.349%
Fe:0.024% Mn:0.0006% Mo:0.009% Zn:0.168%
and
(MgO:0.380% S:0.0001% Al:0.0008% J:0.0001% Sn:0.0001% in water dissolveable)

Should I keep using this fertilizer or should i choose another ?

I personally would avoid putting any chemicals into my axie tank other than dechlorinator to get rid of metals/chemicals in my tap water. However, I would wait to see what a more experienced axie owner has to say. Good luck :)

Thank you for your advice and if anyone has something new to add please feel free.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
