My leucistic and dark natural axie grew up with partition, which I recently took down because I thought they were old enough to behave. Came home the other day to find that my dark natural axie (Snickers) had an injury on his arm. First thought that he'd gotten it stuck in the water intake or something, but yesterday 3 of 4 arms were bitten.
They'd been well fed, so I'm surprised. Needless to say they are separated again.
I'm concerned now for Snickers, and his injuries. Curious what the group thinks is the right course of action. The skin is pulled back on the limbs, and they are sorta mangled. Should I give it a few days to see if he recuperates naturally or should I take him to the vet to determine if the limbs are beyond the point of healing and should be amputated?
I'm besides myself here... even if they are just salamanders. Help? Thoughts?
