Hello everyone! I was in desperate need of a salamander help site, and it seems to be that I found it. Well my name is Scarlett. As of right now I have no salamanders, but about 40-75 eggs I rescued from a friend. She had an old pool she wanted to get rid of ASAP and saw the eggs and called me. I'm known as 'The Hermit Crab/Animal' person here. I have four clumps of the eggs. I thought at first they were frogs/toads, did some research and they look exactly like salamander eggs. I started researching because of the strange way I noticed the babies forming, didn't look anything like tadpoles! But they ook exacty like salamanders. The only reason I took them was because she was going to throw them in the trash...(Disguting, am I right? ;/)
Well, Anyways, I'm a vet major, and I have a buuunch of animals. Exotics, farm animals, cats, fish, dogs, ect.
Also, I am looking forward to all the help I can get!
Thanks a bunch!
-Scarlett :)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
