Hello,
My name is Gary, originaly from PhiIadelphia now in Western Maryland. Im a 53 YO Retired ARMY Vet and I presently work for The Department of Defense. I own a PlayStation 3 Gaming Website and my passion is spending as much time on my 36 Ft Boat as I can.

I have only been raising Fire Belly Toads for about 2 months, I started with a 10 gallon dirt bottom enclosure and now im up to a 20 Long all Aquatic. Its coming along well, I still have some finnishing touches to make aesthetically. My guys are happy, they talk and come to the glass to say hi when im there.

I do have a few questions to post and as soon as I find the correct area I will put them up.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
