Is it my imagination or maybe just Toothless, when he swims he is graceful like a crocodile when he lands he is like a sack of spuds. There's nothing wrong with him I just find it really funny.

Or his he just the salamander who'd wear hobnail boots at a tea room dance?.

Love him to bits he's has his weekly water change and his moss ball has decided it no longer is a football but gently rotating at the top of his tank like a fuzzy green planet gradually losing altitude. xxx

He's quite content hiding in the lettuce (some sort of water wisteria I think) at the moment xx

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
