Hi just wondering if "roman gravel" is any good? its considerably smaller to standard gravel (which i know is obviously a no no). i currently have fake grass in the bottom of my tanks at the minute it looks good and is easy for cleaning them out, but after 18 month its starting to look a tad shabby, was going to replace it but then i stumbled across the roman gravel and wondered if it would be suitable for my axies, they are between 7 and 8 inches long, so they aren't young or little and would most definitely pass the gravel straight through if they accidentally ate some.

I wouldn't use it still because the reason people use play sand in general is because the grains are tiny compared to other sands, that gravel could still cause impaction and I just wouldn't risk it for a pretty tank
