I am starting a new 75 gallon tank today for Axolotls. I am filling it up now, my question is, to start the cycle for its water, can I use a rock from my Musk Turtle tank? or would sand from my beta tank be better? (though there is not constant filtration on the beta, the current seems to upset him, so I only turn it on when the water gets a little cloudy.) I am planning on cycling the tank for about 2 weeks, I don't have any Axolotls yet. Thank you ahead of time!

Either one will have beneficial bacteria on them, and probably be just fine.
