Plush axolotl

I thought about knitting some plush axxies to sell on the forums but figured they wouldn't sell well, though this post is now making me think I may have been wrong.....

How much would you guys be willing to pay for one? Keep in mind I could customize to a certain degree.

Not sure about those particular plushs but if you go on etsy and search for axolotls a few things come up- bit pricy though.

I of course would definitely be interested in a knitted axie, but I'm on a tight budget, and as a beginner-knitter myself, I could understand the time put into them!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
