Hello!

I'm Sigourney a 21 year old student from Belgium with a loving heart for Axies.

I currently own 2 leucistic baby axie's. Fidel & Ché. Before that I had my precious golden one, Little Lotl Axolotl but he died two weeks ago. I cried my eyes out, I really had a bond with this little creature. About a half year ago I had a little leucistic one Bubbles, but she dies after two weeks because te petshopowner sold a little pack that was sick... Bubbles was one of them.

Those axies are beautiful! I'm sorry for your losses. Welcome to the forum. I hope you can find some more axies.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
