Hello I am supposed to do this, doubt anyone will read it .

I am from the US and am an avid Pokemon fan. I have heard that axolotls look similar to the Pokemon Mudkip, and really wanna get one (And, yeah, I know they don't look THAT similar). Yup, that's it  thanks for reading this!

I read it too! Welcome.
I don't have axies, but I have weasels, and while I wouldn't call them Evil per se, they certainly are friends of the devil.

Haha Pokemon is how I came across my axie. I named him Mudkip but he seems to have taken on the personality of a Mudpie hahaha Welcome :D

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
