These are my two new Axies. The one with the worm is super spunky and the other one is super lax, in a good way though. They are awesome.

Those guys are eeny-weeny! Is the spunky one ABLE to eat earthworms that large? (It's bigger than s/he is!) Have you tried cutting them up at all (so they're the same length as the width of the 'Lotls head?)

That's probably a new favourite photo of mine, though.

Yeah that was the first worm it ever had. But I cut the next one up. She tried to eat it from the middle. lol. And heres a good pic of Quincy.

Our baby took a while to work out what his new moss ball was for... Here he is thinking it is a place to hide from mice?! (Disclaimer- there are no mice in the tank! Or the flat for that matter!)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
