Question: Anyone in Texas breeding Axies?

To kinda make a long story short. I had four axies for almost four years. One of my females went into spawn. She had 31 eggs but only two hatched. Later, unexpectedly my last female died for reasons still unknown. I took care of the two babies for three weeks.I talked to my vet a lot because of how the mom died. She got stopped up with eggs and the vet said they babies probably wouldn't hatch and if they did, its slim they would survive. They did for three weeks and both past. Ive had so many deaths in the past month and I'm losing hope in myself. I got so attatched to these little guys. A part of my is telling myself to just stick with my two males that I have. But another part of my wants bring life in all this death. So my question is, if anyone in the Texas area is breeding and has eggs or recently hatched babies I would really like to work out a deal with you if you are selling. I really only want two. I just want something good to come out of this bad. Please.

I am in Dallas and want to start breeding but my female died as well :(
If you hear from anyone please let me know, there seems to be a very limited number of breeders in Texas/DFW...

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
