Hello!
I bought two adorable axolotls around a month ago and they're about five inches long now. I still don't have a properly cycled tank because I can't get a sponge filter and the one I have now isn't working well enough.
Anyway, I currently have them in small plastic containers that are about 12 inches long and 6 1/2 inches wide. The water level is around 3 inches and I change it every day. Each has its own container.
I'm worried this is too small for them. Should I put them in bigger containers? I have a 10 gallong tank that has a bit more floor space than the tubs but then the two axies will be together and I'm worried they'll nip at each other (is 5 inches safe or should I wait till 6?).
So yeah, bigger containers or am I okay?
