Unknown Animal need help identifying

It must be a fish. Look at the flanks - they appeared scaled and fish-like. If this is an un-retouched picture, then I'd say it's a fish with a dragon-shaped head.

I sincerely doubt that's a real animal. My personal guess is someone's had some fun with photoshop and a picture of a goby (a type of fish) or something.

I say it's photoshopped. What really stands out to me on this is the nostrils. They are on the end of the snout. They are usually near the eyes, with the exception of some true eels, which this does not resemble because the nostrils are flat instead of tube-like. Also, the nostrils are way too dark in that picture.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
