Hi everyone, I'm Ali & I live in the Isle of Man. I'm new to forums so this is all new to me so any advice on what I should or shouldn't do would be gratefully received

I have 2 axies, Gladys is a leucistic & Henry is a wild type & they are both nearly 1. I have had them for about 8 months & just think they're brilliant creatures!
I will hopefully post some pics later when I figure out how to! I think Gladys has a fungus problem & may need a salt bath & possible fridging but I will read up on other threads first.

& can I just say what a fantastic website....literally everything you need to know is here!

Welcome to the forum, Ali!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
