I have an existing axie, josé, who is about 20-22cm, she's been by herself for 1.5 years after her axie friend died 
(suspected morphing). The only place around my area that sells, sells axies about 12-14cm. I'm also worried about thickness, José is quite thick, her body is about/ just under the width of her head which is about 3cm and the ones in the pet shop is like 2cm max. Is that too much of a difference in a 3ft tank with 5 hidey holes?
