Hey guys I purchased some axie eggs off eBay (20 eggs) and they should be hatching soon, I just wanted to know if I can use microworms instead of daphnia or bbs because I have tried to culture daphnia twice but I failed:p and I think bbs is messy. So im thinking of feeding them live microworms then moving them onto chopped bloodworms when they're a bit older. Is this an okay diet for them? Oh and do you need an air pump or a filter in with the Larvae? Like is it essential? I have some live plants if that helps aid the oxygen in the water

Don't know about the worms but if you're doing 100% water changes daily then no filter or airstone will be necessary, and when they're very small it's not recommended.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
