So a few weeks back I rescued a stumpy little axolotl, just figured he needed some extra space and plenty of food and clean water and he'd hop onto a normal growth track. Roughly a week after getting him I got a baby leucistic that's probably about 2/3 months younger. Now I've noticed age does no equate to size at all with these munchkins, but more so food and water quality. Both of them a growing fine, my little gold stumpy has his legs grown in properly now but his head is far larger than the leucistic and he's more round around the middle and much more stubby. The leucistic has a smaller head but is longer by about a 1/4 of an inch. I read somewhere on here that there's some kind of trend happening with stumpy axolotls? It's utterly adorable and he's perfectly healthy, but now I'm curious about it.
