Hi, I've recently picked up a bottle of API stress coat + and was wondering if I could use it with the conditioner I already have in my tank. Is it ok to add water treated with stress coat during my next water change or do I need to do a complete water change of the current water? Any feedback is greatly appreciated and sorry if it's a stupid question but I'm just trying to keep my axies healthy:p:happy:

If your tank is cycled you should never do a 100% water change (unless moving the tank ect) as this could make your cycle crash.

It will be fine, just do your normal routine but use the stress coat instead :D
Just make sure you measure it correctly as too much, with it having aloe in, can make the tank a bit slimy haha

I just switched conditioner - I just carried on with normal water changes.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
