IHTW reptiles
I was wondering to see if anyone else here are around my area and have anything for sale? i dont see many salamander enthusiasts here in BC which is a shame, but im sure there is at least one other person than me out there!

caudata that i own
13 c. orientalis (chinese fire belly newts)
3 a. mexicanum (axolotls)
4 a. macrodactylum (western long toed salamanders)
1 a. gracile (northwestern salamander)
i also have some reptiles too but im mostly an amphibian guy

B.C.? how do you manage to keep amphibians at all with all the rules and such in B.C. ? i was looking at them the other day. They even protect invasive species! silly stuff
 
have a permit and you can get them! and yeah the rules here are cra cra thats why there arnt many caudata keepers here also because its hard to actually find any as well to buy
 
Hi! I live in WA state, were neighbors! I have about 80 baby Axiolotl that I need to get rid of! They kept having babies and I finally separated them, currently I have 7 adults and 24 juveniles that am keeping but have to get rid of the 80 babies :(
 
wow thats alot of babies and hello neighbor! i would like a few but im out of tanks xD

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
