Many of you may have come across a or two thread about my sick little girl, José. I wrote many threads trying to help her and was told I should let her go, I finally did today. I just buried her in my flower garden. She was getting sicker and I then found a rather massive lump in her mouth which grew very rapidly to the point of not being able to properly grasp her food or close her mouth. I couldn't be the one who administered her passing, so we took a trip to my local vet who agreed to put her down for me.

I would just like to say thank you everybody who has tried to help us and she will be dearly missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. But it's best to let them go, rather than let them suffer. You did a good thing, I'm sure she's in a better place now.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
