I know that my adult axies will be ok while I'm away for a week, but I'm not sure about my 3 juvies (8, 7 and 6cm).

8cm has his own tank cause he's a bully and I separated them.
7cm and 6cm share a tank and I haven't had any problems, but I'm worried that about 6cm being picked on while I'm away. I don't have another tank.

What would happen if I put them in the fridge in separate containers for a week?

The juvies are eating bloodworms and small garden worms

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
