Illness/Sickness: Axolotl wound, help please,

Hi everyone, my axolotl got bitten on the tail a couple of days ago and now i think it started to heal, where wound is it has got white stringy coating over it ...... Is it normal?

Yes, healing skin often looks white. As long as it doesn't look fluffy/fungusy it should be fine. A tea bath may help if it's irritated, but it will heal if you just leave it alone.

Hey ty, um not sure fuzzy nothing comes of but looks like white blister and stringy, feels thick too

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
