i think ive made a HUGE mistake.
so literally minutes ago my first arrival hatched ... however not by itself >.<
about 6 of my axie eggs have been little wrigglers in their eggs today and ive been so excited to have them hatch....however knowing this i thought they were due so set up my pot of dechlorinated water ready for the hatched ones ... in the bunch of eggs there was a dud one ... i didn't realise it was stuck onto another axie egg (what i can think of it anyways) so the stupid me tried sucking up this dud egg with a syringe ... and one axie come out of his egg and drpped to the bottom i touched him with the syringe gently and he started swimming ... i panicked and put him into his new pot and hes just laying there and not doing anything ... is this normal what should i do i feel terrible :'(

I did exactly the same thing at 11 days. He's now 12 weeks, 4 inches and off to his new owner next week.
Assuming he is swimming he should be fine - he stands the same chance as a naturally hatched sibling. Axies often don't move much until they absorbed all their yolk.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
