Hello,

I am buying an Axolotl, it will take 24 hours for him to get to me and he will have oxygenated water,

will he survive the 24 hours?
He arrives this week, so any urgent responses would be really appreciated

Of course he will. If the breeder (or whoever..?) is sending him to you of course he'll survive xD

Live fish are sent through the mail all the time. On aquabid you can buy Betta from Thailand. Now that's a trip!

Anyway my baby Zion came to me in the mail via two day shipping, and Ive heard stories of axies still being alive after week long shipping.

Hello :)
What happens if there is a spike in temperature?
Or it gets a little warmer than it should be?

The weather is so unpredictable

Well he should have been shipped in something insulated, to keep him fairly cool.

Yeah i'll ask them to keep him insulated so that he's cool,
thank you

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
