Right okay so usually I use Aqua Safe, but today the shop didn't have any (dobbies) and so I brought some King British Safe Guard - does the same thing but just wondered if any of you guys used the same or what De-chlorinator you do use?

I use dechlorinators that are designed for koi ponds, one bottle lasts for years and years, you just need to calculate the correct dosage for smaller volumes of water.

I believe aquasafe plus has an addition that helps the slime coat

I use to use aquasafe plus ... Then zoomed reptile water conditioner and now stresscoat plus :)

I don't see how it would harm anything really. As long as it does the same thing it should be fine.

I've never had a problem with it... dechlorinator is dechlorinator as long as it says 'instantly removes chlorine and chloramines' or something to that effect.

I use plain sodium thiosulfate. No aloe, no additives. I found the one with aloe caused fungus on my axies' gills and slime on the walls of my tank .

Now I'm worried about an allergic reaction! Like I said I've been using aquasafe plus and it has the added aloe. Is this a common issue?

The fungus could have been coincidental, but the slime in the tank definitely was related to the aloe - you could smell it.

I'm not saying anyone else would have the same problem - many people use an aloe additive - I'm just saying I had an issue.
