I recently got some spotted salamander eggs and 4 of them hatched 2 days ago but aren't swimming around or feeding I was just wondering how long it takes for them to start swimming around and feeding and also how long in tell they meta morph
(I'm feeding them micro worms)

I saw my larvae feed approx. one day after hatching. They have small daphnia and occasional top up with microworm. With the microworm, I remove them after they start to die off.
I haven't yet raised larvae to morphing, but from using 'google' and the search function here, I am expecting them to start to morph in approx. 5 months, I however could be wrong. My eggs have been hatching over the last 3 weeks and I have 'recorded' their progress here :- http://www.caudata.org/forum/f1173-...-ambystomatids/85211-ambystoma-maculatum.html

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
