Hi
I wanted to ask about feeding your axolotl from a jar. My 2 axies in my main tank have started to go a bit crazy as I have breeding nets round the top holding their offspring, which are waiting to be sold. The problem is every time I feed the babies, the adults go mad at the smell of the food. I have been giving them pellets usually every few days which they we're fine with.
Literally just now my male was trying to jump out the tank, he was swimming rally furiously into the bottom of the baby nets, he scared all of them and upset my female too with his trashing about. He has settled now, but it really scared me.
I do feed the adults worms and frozen food too, but it's messy. I saw some people talking about feeding jars, I was wondering how you use these? Do you put the food in first, like the frozen block then submerge the jar? I have a jar ready, I'm just not sure how to use it effectively. Any help appreciated.
