While cleaning my tigers tank today i observed he had a pretty bad leg injury. it's on his back leg inner corner. it looks like it has been ripped/torn or bitten. i'm not sure if it's from his tank mate or if he got it hung on something. i put him in a critter keeper with wet paper towels. i'm worried about infection and healing. i've never dealt with an injury so i'm very worried and upset. he is still using the leg, it's still attached to his body, the wound is pink, not really red but i think i see a blood spot/sore. i'm not sure how long he has had it. i have about 20 dollars to my name so going to a vet is not an option for me right now :(. Please Reply with any information you have about injuries. I need to know how to treat it, keep it from getting infected, things to watch out for, etc

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
